TABLE THIRTY TWO 2019

Jojo persuaded a cafe to let him create a makeshift studio at one of their upstairs tables and arranged to photograph people sat at table 32 just before the cafe closed at least a couple of times a week.

Inspired by surrealism and forced to use available lighting he made a little deal with himself: if he sold just one of the 22 portraits, (each framed in a vintage gold painted frame), He'd swap his camera for a better one and consider looking for a studio space. Over the few months the work was exhibited on the walls of the same cafe (The Boston Tea Party), he sold eight and Jojo re-found his mojo, got a camera with a larger sensor and found himself a studio!
