


ARTIST BIO
Jojo is a storyteller whose photography explores human relationships. He is influenced by art and photography history and theatre practices. These combine in his staged photographs to create narratives for a 21st century audience.
In 1998 he won the Social Category of The Fuji Student Awards. He holds a Theatre Directing Diploma, a Degree in Screen Studies and Theatre Studies and an MA in Contemporary Film Practice. Most recently, he has completed an MA in Photography with Falmouth University.
Jojo’s work, which often contains playful aspects, has been exhibited in the Preus Museum in Norway and Plymouth City Museum as well as in galleries across the UK.
Jojo has been awarded a place on the REDEYE/ AOP GRADUATE MENTORING SCHEME and has been shortlisted for the PHOTOGRAPHY PRIZE with BBA GALLERY in Berlin. He will be exhibiting with them in Germany in November 2023.
He has self-published 7 Photobooks to date.
