In 2017 I had an exhibition called MY ARCHIPELAGO as the final solo show at New Street Gallery in Plymouth before they permanently shut their doors. The idea for the show was simple. I had always considered myself the exception to the rule that "no man is an island" but realised that was no longer how I felt.  Rather than being a complete island I now considered myself an island amongst other islands, separate but with many connections. I decided to track down the men who were significant to me at that time and make a simple portrait of each of them. A show was born. It featured 21 men who were important to me in 2017, below you can see a few of them.

Now almost 7 years later, I find myself drawn to make the counterpoint to this project by creating a body of work focussing on the significant women in my life. Watch this space!
